The Secret Circle: Season 1, Episode 1

Photobucket

Welcome to The Secret Circle Episode Rundowns!

Hey all, Shannon here. Time for a new episode-by-episode run down of thoughts and ideas of one of the shows Suzie & I chat about here at Hexed. We did this last summer with Teen Wolf and it was a lot of fun so I wanted to do it again, and with The Secret Circle being a new series and one of the few witch-centric series it's the one I picked to cover more in depth. We'll be looking at the characters & relationship development, story arcs, lore and of course the use of witchcraft and other supernatural occurrences in Chance Harbour as we follow the adventures of Cassie Blake and The Secret Circle.

The Secret Circle: Season 1, Episode 1 ***SPOILERS here on in***

Episode #1: Pilot

Short summary
We are introduced to Cassie, who on the way home gets car trouble and has to change a tire (and she can - go Cassie!) and her mom is at home and is killed by a fire created by someone we later learn to be Charles. Cassie goes to live with her grandmother (Jane) in Chance Harbour and runs across a variety of young'uns who attempt to recruit her into their group of witches to create a secret circle from the 6 families to have more control over their magic. The group appears to be run by Diana, who was the first (and only so far) of the six to find her family’s journal of spells. The remaining four include Adam (Diana’s boyfriend who also has a strong connection with Cassie), Nick (Cassie’s neighbour), resident bad girl Faye & her best friend Melissa. The teens have all lost at least 1 parent and there was an accident 16 years ago that was covered up, at which point Cassie's mom left town and never brought her there.

General Comments
  • I love how Cassie stands her ground and doesn't wallflower into the new crowd
  • I like how Jean acknowledges how resourceful teens are
  • Magic in the forest was beautiful!
  • I really hope they don't go the way of that magic is bad or needs to be contains or controlled, and hope that they introduce some preventative, healing or premonition magic.
Locations/Social Events
  • Chance Harbour: The shows setting, Cassie moves here to live with her grandmother Jane after her mother Amelia dies. It's where Amelia grew up but never visited with Cassie.
  • The Boathouse Grill aka The Boathouse: run by the Conants, Adam works at this harbour side restaurant
  • The... Club House? Witch House? An rundown house where the teen witches meet, not sure it has a name yet per se
Characters (in order of appearance)
Cassie Blake - series protagonist
Amelia Blake - Cassie's Mom, dies in this episode
The man who kills Cassie’s Mom at the beginning is Charles (also Diana's dad)
Jane Blake - Cassie’s Grandmother, who Cassie goes to live with
Nick - a guy who lives across the street from Cassie
Dawn Chamberlain – school Principal, knew Cassie’s Mom
Adam Conant – resident cute guy, works at Boathouse
Faye Chamberlain - principals daughter, resident bad girl, father dead
Diana Meade – resident nice girl
Ethan - Adam’s Dad, loved Cassie’s Mom, owns The Boathouse, drinks too much
Melissa - Faye's best friend

Characters (by age groups)

The Teens, aka The Witches - They need 6 to form a Circle

  • Diana - First to find the book, acts as leader
  • Faye
  • Melissa
  • Adam
  • Nick
  • Plus they want to recruit Cassie
The Adults, Previous Generation of Witches/Circle
  • Dawn Chamberlain (Faye's Mom)
  • Charles Meade (Diana's Dad)
  • Inferred: Amelia (Cassie's Mom), Cassie's Dad, Nick's Parents
The Elder-Adults, Previous-Previous Generation:
  • Jane Blake (Cassie's Grandmother), aware of witchcraft
Relationships
  • Diana & Adam have been together for 3 years
  • Cassie & Adam definitely have chemistry, but Adam says he loves Diana and it can't happen again
  • Ethan loved Amelia (Adam's Dad loved Cassie's Mom), as it was fated in the stars, although Amelia choose another.
  • Adam & his Dad have tension over Ethan's drinking
  • Diana acts as leader for the group, although there is tension with Faye who says she never agreed to anything
Family Trees
The pilot episode sets up that the circle has to have 1 member from each of the 6 families, so I think it's a good idea to keep an eye on those families as families:
  1. Meade's: Diana, Charles + ______ (Diana's mother is assumed dead)
  2. Chamberlain’s: Faye, Dawn + _____ (Faye's father is dead)
  3. Blake's: Cassie, Jane + _______ (Cassie's father is dead), Amelia (confirmed dead)
  4. Conant': Adam, Ethan + ______ (Adam's mother - assumed dead)
  5. _______'s: Melissa's family: no light shone here, although it is said in the episode that they all have lost a parent so either 1 or both are assumed dead
  6. _______'s: Nick's Family: both parents are said to be dead
Family Books Found (2 out of 6)
  1. Diana found her family's book first
  2. Cassie found her family's book at the end of this episode
Character Development
  • Cassie finds out she's a witch.
Witch Lore - Teens
  • The teens ancestors are part of a legacy that dates as far back as 1692 (per Adam)
  • A complete circle is 6, 1 from each of the families (per Diana)
  • There is a ritual to to bind them to, to control the power (per Diana)
  • Each Family has a book, a journal that is that explains has 1000 of spells
  • So far the teens can only open locked doors, move curtains, etc
  • Diana says no one can know about them, not even their families
  • Adam and Faye say with Cassie there the magic is amplified, and that they can't control it
Witch Actions - Teens
  • The stars on Cassie's ceiling shimmer (and possibly move?)
  • Faye (and Melissa?) lock Cassie's car doors
  • Cassie's car starts to go up in flames - unclear if this is Faye, Cassie, Melissa, or combo
  • Adam puts fire out in car
  • Adam and Cassie make water levitate
  • Faye creates a rainstorm, but can't control it
  • Cassie quiets the rainstorm
  • “A drop of water / As light as air” - Adam/Cassie to levitate water
  • “Stars above, give me a sign” - Faye, thunder happens
  • “Please sky rain down on me” – Faye, and it does;
  • “Make it stop” - Cassie
Witch Lore & Actions - Adults
  • Charles drips water from a water bottle onto the pavements on the road, water inside nearby house
  • Charles lights matches outside a house, and a fire burns inside
  • Jane asks Dawn if the kids are 'practicing' and that a similar thing happened years ago.
  • Charles opens the door in front of Dawn
Arc
  • Charles threatens Ethan not to talk to Cassie - which means it's likely Ethan knows something.
  • Ethan (Adam's Dad) says his and Cassie's families are fated "So, it was written. Our families are written in the stars. We’re destined. It’s always been that way." He also says "Me and Amelia were meant for each other. It’s the same with you and Adam. You don’t want to mess with Fate, bad things happen when you mess with fate”
  • Per Adam - their parents had a circle but something went wrong, people died, it was covered up and witchcraft was abolished.
  • Per Diana - 16 years ago there was an accident people from the circle died
  • Dawn says she doesn't have to get Cassie to do anything, that the Circle will take care of itself
Reveals
  • Cassie's a witch (she didn't know)
  • Diana, Adam, Faye, Melissa & Nick are witches
  • They've all lost a parent
  • Cassie finds her family's book, or rather it finds her
  • Dawn says Cassie has the gift
  • Dawn and Charles appear to be in cahoots in controlling the secrets of the previous circle and watching what will happen with this one
Kill and Saves
  • Charles kills Amelia through magic (water and fire to make her slip and set the house on fire from afar).
  • Adam saves Cassie after Faye 'tests' her by locking her in car and setting it aflame - he stops fire via magic & gets her out of the car.
  • Kill Count: Charles: 1
  • Save Count: Adam: 1
Great Quotes
  • "We all agreed to take it slow / no you said to take it slow and we all nodded, I didn’t agree to anything" - Diana / Faye
  • “This town is a freaking sideshow” – Cassie
  • “Hey neighbour, I’m Nick. Also known as the guy in the window” - Nick
  • “You’re a witch. Full blooded, 100% witch. We all are” – Faye
  • “You are one of us, Cassie. I can’t tell you want to do but just know you aren’t alone.” – Adam
  • “She is her father’s daughter / Well unfortunately she is her mother’s daughter too” – Charles and Dawn re: Cassie
Questions/Predictions*

Keeping an eye on
Ethan - will he say more, or no? Also he seemed to really know when people were there, before they were there.

Left off at
Cassie notices a panel moving in her room, behind it is the journal for her family. Inside the book there is a card from her mother which reads:

"My Sweet Cassie
You finding this means I’m gone, for that I am so sorry.
I didn’t want you to have this life
Destiny is not easy to run from
I had hoped that keeping this secret kept you safe
But all I’ve done is keep you unprotected
You have incredible power inside you
People will come for it
They will come for you"

Remember you can always also listen to Suzie & I chat about this episode of The Secret Circle on Hexed: Sisterhood of the Supernatural Episdoe #75 here.

* Episode 1-8 run downs are being done retrospectively over the winter break, therefore I'm omitting predictions because hindsight can (appear) to be 20/20!

CTV picks up The River - Premieres February 7, 2012

CTV picks up Paranormal Thriller TV show 'The River', premieres February 7, 2012 at 9pm

Photobucket
Image - Cast of The River: Bruce Greenwood as Emmet Cole, Joe Anderson as Lincoln Cole, Paul Blackthorne as Clark, Paulina Gaitan as Jahel, Leslie Hope as Tess Cole, Eloise Mumford as Lena, Shaun Parkes as Adjay, Thomas Kretschmann as Captain Kurt Brynion and Daniel Zacapa as Emilio.

Suzie & I chatted about the trailer of the upcoming TV show The River from Paranormal Activity director Oren Peli recently, commenting on it's spooky vibe and shakycam style and being totally thrilled at the possibility of it being paranormal in nature. Considering the headline "Newly Acquired Paranormal Thriller THE RIVER Joins New Series SMASH, MISSING, and GCB to Complete CTV Mid-Season Schedules" I think we can safely say the show is paranormal. WOOHOO.

If that wasn't enough (and it is), the cast is awesome. We have a great set of actors incluidng one of my favourite but not seen enough actors: Joe Anderson (The Crazies, Across the Universe) plus Paul Blackthorne (Dresdin from The Dresdin Files, Christian from The Gates), Thomas Kretschmann (Captain Englehorn from King Kong, Dracula in Dario Argento's upcoming Dracula 3D), Bruce Greenwood (Captain Pike from Star Trek (2009) and many more roles) to name just a few. Let's take a look at more of the official details about the show.

From the media release:
"Toronto, ON (Dec. 20, 2011) – CTV announced today its mid-season schedules for CTV and CTV Two, including its latest acquisition: the much buzzed-about adventure-horror series THE RIVER, from Paranormal Activity director Oren Peli and starring Canadians Bruce Greenwood and Leslie Hope. THE RIVER brings to four the number of new series set to join the CTV schedules in early 2012, following a fall season that saw CTV deliver six out of the Top 6 new series on Canadian television. A thrilling take on a search and rescue mission in the Amazon, THE RIVER joins the highly anticipated debuts of big ticket television series SMASH, MISSING, and GCB"

The River series premieres will air on CTV on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at 9 p.m.

Being Human Season 2 Begins January 16, 2012 on Space

Photobucket
Image from: Episode 102 There Goes the Neighborhood, Part 2; Meaghan Rath as Sally, Sam Huntington as Josh, Sam Witer as Aidan

Who could be better roommates than a vampire, werewolf and a ghost? That's a trick question because the answer is they are the best roommates! The trio we speak of is Aidan, Josh & Annie who struggle to face, maintain and restore their humanity in the supernatural drama Being Human (North American). Here at Hexed we've been following their journey from the first episode (or technically before their first episode as we also watched & discussed Being Human UK the show upon which it's based), and are getting ready for more as Space recently announced Season 2 will begin to air on Monday January 16, 2012 at 10PM. I'll admit that I wavered a lot watching Season 1 as there are huge similarities between this version and it's UK counterpart, but the show really did win me over. Here are the official details about Season 2 from the media release:

"BEING HUMAN (US) – Season 2 Premiere
Monday, Jan. 16 at 10 p.m. ET

In the season premiere episode “Turn This Mother Out”, Aidan deals with the power vacuum and orphan vampires left behind when Bishop died and Josh prepares to re-enter medical school and embrace a normal life with Nora. Sally’s ghost powers grow stronger as she wonders what will happen to her now that she’s missed her door."

In anticipation of the Season 2 premiere of Being Human (North American) Space will be airing a Season 1 marathon on Sunday January 15, 2012. You can also jog your memory by strolling down Hexed memory lane and listen to Suzie & I's reactions to each and every episode of Season 1 right here:

Fact or Faked Season 2B on Space in January 2012

I think it's safe to say that one of our happiest discoveries here at Hexed this year was the awesome non-fiction show Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, which follows a group of experts in various fields who investigate video & photos of possible paranormal activity and then attempt to re-create the footage. The shows combination of scientific method *and* belief in the paranormal easily won me over as a viewer. Space aired the show aired here in Canada throughout 2011 (Season 1 in winter and first half of Season 2 in the summer), and as of January 11, 2012 they will begin to air the second half of season 2 (aka 2B). I can't wait. Here are the official details from the media release:

"FACT OR FAKED: PARANORMAL FILES – Season 2B Premiere
Wednesday, Jan. 11 (2012) at 9 p.m. ET

Led by former FBI agent Ben Hansen, the paranormal investigation team returns with “UFO Crash Landing/Graveyard Ghost”. In the season 2B premiere, one team goes to New Mexico to investigate a supposed UFO crash while the other travels to Nevada to look into stories of a graveyard ghost."

Hexed: Sisterhood of the Supernatural has been on board with Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files from the very first time it aired up here in Canada and Shannon literally stumbled upon it by accident late one night channel surfing and finding it on Space. The combination of scientific method, paranormal discussions, photography, stunt work, travel and a spectacular cast make it one of these most fun shows out there. Suzie & I have talked about each and every episode that has aired up here so far, and here is a handy listing of those discussions from our archives:

Hexed: Sisterhood of the Supernatural on Fact or Faked:

Season 1 Discussions
Season 2A DiscussionsNormally I'd add episode titles but they often reveal which of the cases they choose, and as fans of the show know one of the funnest parts of watching is the beginning where they review all the footage and determine which cases to pick, so I purposefully left out the details. You can clip through for titles or visit the Wikipedia Page for the show which has episode titles.

If you love Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, be sure to check out ParaAbNormal Radio, a call in show with the cast the Fact or Faked Fans Website and Facebook Page, all run by the fabulously dedicated Christiane.

The 12 Days of SpaceMAS 2011

Photobucket

We are heading into the holiday stretch and for a lot of TV watchers that can often mean absolutely nothing to watch, but for fans of monsters, magic & heroes have no fear as The 12 Days of SpaceMAS is almost here. From Thursday December 22, 2011 to Monday January 2, 2012 Space Channel will be jam packing our days with marathons of monster movies to entire seasons of TV and possible the most exciting for Whovians, the Doctor Who Christmas Special being played on Christmas Day.

Myself, I'm gearing up more for the movie marathons, especially Beast Feast Marathon over 2 Days which has a mega-load of monster movies including Mega Piranha, Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus and of course Mega Python vs Gatoroid (starring Tiffany & Debbie Gibson!). Also included in Beast Feast is shark classic Jaws and two of my faves: Deep Blue Sea and Rogue (killer crocodile!) starring Radha Mitchell & Sam Worthington and I might finally get to see the infamous Black Sheep!

There are also lots of films for dinosaurs fans (Jurrasic Park trilogy + Triassic Attack & Aztec Rex), Comic Book Hero fans with several Batman films and 2 Thor Films: The Almighty Thor and Thor: Hammer of the Gods and then the Man vs. Machine marathon with I, Robot, Demolition Man, Stealth, Transformers 1 & 2 and Starship Troopers 1 & 2. Although I think Starship Troopers is a bit of a cheat....weren't the monsters just.. bugs? Meh! No matter, it's all in good fun and it's got cool tech - perhaps they mutate to machines in the sequel.

For the TV fans there are lots of shows to catch up with including Season 1 & 2 of Merlin (great lead up to Season 4 premiere on January 7, 2012), Sanctuary Season 4 marathon, Christmas with the Doctor and Torchwood Marathon.

With so many awesome options, the true question is, what *won't* you watch?

Teen Wolf Marathon on Much Music

Photobucket

Feeling all lone wolf-like?

Don't wolf-out along! Teen Wolf Marathon runs this Saturday December 17, 2011 from 2pm-2am on Much Music. That's a whole lotta wolfing going on.

Re-live the mysteries of lacrosse player Scott's high school dramas, romances and soul searching adventures, with best friend Stiles in tow, run ins with the popular crowd, mysterious visitors and so much more. It also has an tackles interesting questions about power dynamics, loyalty and importance of choice and features some great performances in particular Dylan O'Brien as Stiles Stilinski and Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore. It's a really fun show and will return in 2012 for a new season so you might as well jump on board the wolf train now if you haven't already.

Suzie & I podcasted through all 12 episodes of Teen Wolf this summer, and I have to say it was a hell of a fun summer watch. Fae-tastic news for Lost Girl Fans, the series has been reviewed for Season 3! I'm still getting over the excitement that our current season is going to be a full 22 episodes, let alone getting ready for more succubus, fae and human camaraderie and combat that will keep us busy well into the future. The show is getting a lot of well-deserved love, the Season 3 announcement press release notes that "During its first season run, Lost Girl ranked number one on the channel for adults 25-54 and was the top scripted series across all specialty channels (A25-54)" and that in the second season so far it has "averaged close to 400,000 viewers (2+) to date". I'm impressed!

Suzie & I have chatted about Lost Girl on the Hexed: Sisterhood of the Supernatural podcast since it's very first episode. Find all our Lost Girl chats on the podcast here.

The Lost Girl fall finale is on this Sunday December 18, 2011 on Showcase and then takes a fae-break, but will return Sunday January 22, 2012 (which is an extra-special day around Hexed, isn't it Suzie? ;).

Reason to see: A vampire, werewolf & ghost as roommate = perfect show for me.

Being Human is a TV series that follows a set of new housemates and their struggles from personal to romantic, professional and cultural all of which are complicated by the fact that they are supernatural beings (a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost) but have chosen to do their best and remain and be human.

I was first in line to check out a show that features a vampire, werewolf and ghost as roommates as I'm a huge fan of paranormal TV and this show brings a nice blend of lore, long-term story arc as well as budding friendships between the trio of vampire Aidan (Sam Witwer), werewolf Josh (Sam Huntington) and ghost Sally (Meaghan Rath) who do their best to deal with their supernatural situations. One of the most interesting dynamics of the series is that each of the three main characters is an underdog or outsider within their own supernatural community, none of them chose their fate and each is effected differently. For example, Josh being a werewolf is only out of control on the full moon, but the weight of his actions at that time can stay with him for the entire lunar cycle. Then Aidan is a long-standing vampire who has chosen to abstain from vampire culture and society but it's a continual and challenging position to be in. Then we have Sally, the ghost who’s transparent to the non-supernatural world and mystified at her own mysterious transition. It's three very different perspectives on dealing with a situation that has been pushed upon you and changed each and every one of their natural, but each choose to be, or at least attempt, to maintain their humanity.

Based on the UK series of the same name, Being Human is in a unique situation of running almost con-currently with its across-the-pond counterpart which has three completed seasons in comparison to this North American version (also referred to as SyFy Being Human or Being Human US even though it's and American/Canadian co-production shot in Montreal). They two versions are very aware of each other and they North American version even has a nod to the UK version with vampire Aidan who is a namesake of the actor Aidan Turner who plays the vampire Mitchell in the original UK version of the show. I really enjoyed the UK version therefore was skepitcal but hopeful about this new version, and I admit I went into the series after already seeing the first two seasons of the UK version and it took me quite some time to decide on how I felt about it. The two versions follow many of the same plot lines and characters, but the North American version also adds new plotlines although it does keep to the heart of the original series. I wouldn't necessarily recommend watching the concurrently, but if you pace out the two from each other it's a highly enjoyable series that pulls at the heart strings, shows the power of friendship, the grand struggle to stand apart from the norms and to take a stand for a greater cause.

I really loved both the comedy and the kindness in the series, the struggles of the characters to maintain their humanity and the challenging choice of whether or not to use there supernatural powers for or against humanity. They wrestle with the question if it's possible to remain neutral, when it's time to take a stand and is it better or worse to succumb to your own nature. And somehow in all of that they manage to go through relationship and romantic entanglements as everyday stresses of workplace and tenant/landlord relationships and challenges.

I did find that the series takes a bit to find it's feet, but it's worth giving it a chance because of the great characters and some stand out performances including reoccurring guest star Mark Pellegrino ('Supernatural') as the vampire power player Bishop and series regular Sam Huntington (Fanboys, Dylan Dog: Dead of Night) as the awkward werewolf Josh. The emotional journeys of all of the characters and interesting and overall I say it's a must-see for any fan of paranormal TV fan. I love the friendships and moral questions it portrays and I truly felt for all of the characters.

It's a great time to hop on the Being Human train and if you've not seen it yet you can easily catch up for it's return in Season 2 which will being to air in January 2012. I'll be waiting with baited breath to see where they go next.

I was a little disappointed in this feature, it's from pretty far away, the audio is pretty low in comparison to the other features, people constantly walking in front of the camera, there are no titles to indicate who is speaking but I enjoyed the casual nature of the discussions and the enthusiastic camaraderie especially between the members of cast.

Becoming Lost Girl's Kenzi at Hal-Con 2011

Paranormal Investigations with Paul Kimball at Hal-Con 2011

Hal-Con 2011 may have been my second con but it was the first time I ever dressed up for anything other than Halloween. For the day of the costume contest I decided to dress up as witty, wicked and wild Kenzi from Lost Girl.

Shannon and I talk about Kenzi (played by Ksenia Solo) all the time during our Hexed podcasts when discussing Lost Girl, which we LOVE! I adored the idea of going as one of our favourite TV characters that we love to hang out with each week.

I had a goth shirt that I had bought at the store Banshee Clothing on Commercial in Vancouver a decade ago and it still fit so that part of the costume was already done. Then I bought these boots from Payless that would work great with these pants:

These are fantastic yoga pants that I got at Old Navy that fit like a glove. I crammed the bottoms into the boots and the basic costume was done. Next came the accessories!

Ripsters Halloween & Party Shop: Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia

I knew I had to go to Ripsters, the awesome all-year-round costume shop that me and Reg adore. First? I had to pick up a wig. I wanted to go more for a long-haired Cleopatra look but after Halloween... Then I also had to get something for my hands and found fingerless netted gloves that suited Kenzi's look.

Black Wig

I got this wild wavy wig with funky bangs that drove me crazy. Thanks to this video I figured out how to straighten the hair a bit. I put it on my tripod and put not-too-hot water all over it to straighten it. Then I added conditioner and put pots and pots of hot-ish water over it until it finally straightened. The bangs never went right though.

Doesn't this photo remind you of The Grudge? Freaked me out so much I had to move it to another room to let it hang dry.

So what did I do? I folded the bangs under the wig which worked like a charm. At first the wig drove me so crazy that I did not think I was going to be able to wear it all day. Somehow by the end of the day, I was loving wearing it and thought about buying more wigs.

The night before (photo above) I played around with makeup. I don't wear a lot of makeup so Kenzi's dramatic dark makeup over ice-blue eyes was not easy for me but I think I did a decent job.

Suzie Ridler as Lost Girls Kenzi at Hal-Con 2011

Being Kenzi is not easy. She is an absolute original. She does not use repetitive phrases and is completely original with her own way of speaking and outrageous personal flare. But that is why we adore her!

Hal-Con Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Comic Convention Sponsor and Foodie Hero Boston Pizza

The longer the day got, the hungrier I got and the more exhausted I became... Reg said I started to sound like Kenzi. I became wildly delirious by the time we found food at Boston Pizza, almost drunk from lack of calories and sleep.

Hal-Con Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Comic Convention Sponsor and Foodie Hero Boston Pizza
First Bo, now you! It's always about Bender! What about Kenzi?

I found myself getting a bit out of control and attacked Bender's head which was deeply unsatisfying since it was not attached to his neck. The entire day everyone recognized Bender but very people noticed me, Kenzi. Who was the coolest chick around but only a mere human so she went unnoticed.

Suzie Ridler as Lost Girls Kenzi at Hal-Con 2011

Still, there were a couple of people who knew who my character was which was nice. Perhaps not as radical as going as a robot but I thought the costume was contemporary, original and very comfortable. I had to be considering all the photography equipment I had to lug around to cover the convention while Reg was Becoming Bender.

I feel even more connected to Kenzi than ever. She is the me I secretly want to be. She made be the most physically vulnerable character on the show (like me in real life, with my fibromyalgia) but she is still beloved and strong in her own unique way. She has the coolest clothing, the funniest turns of phrase and is un-tamable.

Kenzi, I adore you! I hope I did your character justice.
