I wanted to say thanks for your response to my previous comments.
I just wanted to say a few things about TVD.
Did it ever occur the the Salvator Brothers and Elena to get Bonnie to make a new knife with the ashes that Uncle!Daddy gave to Damon? That would have been a real plan.
Also now that Bonnie has her powers back, 'if' Elena is killed during the ritual do you think she has the power and the knowledge (all those grimoires left by Jonas) to use dark magic to bring her back? Such a Buffy storyline. As in Buffy I really think that Elena will die but not stay dead.
To tide me over the 4+ weeks we have to wait for TVD to com back I am re-watching Vampire related stuff. Something I spotted in my re-watching of True Blood, in S03E10.I.Smell.a.Rat the actors that play both Lexie and Elijah play grifters who are killed by Sam Merlotte. Silly but I thought I would just mention it.

I fogot to say something in my earlier post, it struck me when I was watching the latest TVD ep was when Caroline gave Matt her blood it was so like True Blood when Jessica gave Hoyt her blood after he was attacked by Sam Merlotte's shap-shifting brother.

Good point, Bonnie should totally make the knife, although she would have to be shown how.
I think Bonnie is still very new to the witch world and has a lot to learn, bringing someone back from the dead is for the big league witches and even Dr. Martin couldn't do it for Luka.
Oh that is just too funny about True Blood and Lexie & Elijah, LOL. Small vampire world. That was a long time to go without vampire content, it's true!
