I know we have lots of Merlin fans out there, and and season 4 has warmed it's way into our hearts this winter and it's been a very exciting season. We've lead into the finale with one half of a 2-parter and now it all comes down to the final episode of the season:
Merlin Season 4 Finale
Saturday March 31, 2012 at 8pm EST on Space
I've been very impressed with the way the show feels so true to the Arthurian tales, but also brings smart surprizes along the way. I know I'll be watching to see how they wrap up Season 4!

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files - Season 2C on Space starting April 25, 2012
Great news for Canadian Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files fans. Season 2C of Fact or Faked Paranormal Files is coming to Space starting Wednesday April 25, 2012! This means we are very closely aligned to the US air date as it returns to SyFy on Tuesday April 17, 2012. Although it's a week apart, it's a huge improvement over the months that we've had to wait in the past, and it means that the break in between 2B and 2C feels very short as we wound down with Season 2B back in mid-February.
I couldn't be happier! It will be so nice not to have to wait so long for new episodes, especially as Suzie & I have been fans of the show from the very first episode. I am curious that it's being called 2C though, as on Wikipedia it's called Season 3. But I'll take new episodes, regardless of what they are called!
Mark your paranormal calender for April 25, 2012 for the return of Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files on Space! And a big thank you Space for bring us the next season of Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files so quickly!

Paranormal Pick of the Week: Lost Girl Season 2 Finale
All the fae-fans know what will be THE hot ticket this week:
Lost Girl Season 2 Finale
Sunday April 1, 2012 at 9pm EST (plus pre-show at 8pm!)
There are certainly opportunities to get your fae on to enjoy the fae-nile, including season finale party at The Firkin on King for those in Toronto (with some pretty amazing guests expected including Paul Amos who plays Vex!) and of course there is the Lost Girl Finale Pre-Show which will air on Showcase at 8pm EST (1 hour pre-finale!). I'm stoked for the finale as this season has been a ton of fun and they've transitioned well from 13 episodes in Season 1 to a whooping 22 episodes in season 2; I just can't believe it's gone so fast.
Any new to Hexed Lost Girl fans, check out our archives of podcasts & posts discussing Lost Girl here. We've talked about *every* episode.
Also awesome this week:
- Merlin Season 4 Finale (Saturday March 31, 2012 at 8pm EST on Space) I've quite enjoyed this season on Merlin and am looking forward to seeing where they go (or end up) with this finale. Lots of magic kicking around, and that's a good thing!
- Game of Thrones Season 2 Premiere (Sunday April 1, 2012 at 9pm EST on HBO Canada) I still haven't watched Season 1 of Game of Thrones yet, and that's only because I haven't read the book(s) yet. I like to do things in that order, but given it's been a year and I haven't maybe I should just dive in. But then again, I don't actually *have* HBO Canada at the moment. I'll get to it... one day but I know the super-fans out there are going to be super-excited this week!

Billy Burke Joins The Cast of Revolution
Image: KRISTEN STEWART stars as Bella and BILLY BURKE stars as her father Charlie Swan in THE TWILIGHT SAGA NEW MOON, Photo Credit Kimberley French
Are you excited about the new J.J. Abrams & Erick Kripke show, Revolution? Need a memory jogger? We chatted about it on Ep 93 of Hexed with the slew of Paranormal-Inclined 2012 TV Pilots and this one is described as: "Follows a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist."
Someone who has joined that group of folks trying to survive is Billy Burke (source: TV Line) of Twilight & Drive Angry has joined the cast and I for one am very excited as I am a big fan. Suzie & I even talked about Revolution all the way back in September 2011 when the only info available was "NBC Orders 'Epic Adventure Thriller' From Supernatural Creator Eric Kripke and J.J. Abrams" and when more info was released we took a pretty ethereal interpretation on the description (like people appear as spirits or energy), but it appears that it's more like there just isn't any fuel. Ha. So, that makes it have a possible survivalist, disaster and/or post-apocalyptic feel. We'll keep following it an see how it continues to unfold.
If you are a fan of Billy Burke (& general Twi-ness), I've also chatted about this casting news over at Before the Dawn were we keep tabs on the Twi-ness including what the actors are up to. Isn't in great when the awesome overlaps?

Pick of the Week: Outcasts Marathon
Image from Outcasts Series Premiere
This week was a bit of a challenge for what to pick of the week, which can happen with so much awesome to go around, but I went for a marathon for a science fiction that aired on Space last summer and one that Suzie & I did chat about on occasion:
Outcasts Marathon
Sunday March 25, 2012 from 11AM - 9PM EST on Space
I'm quite excited for this as I didn't watch all of it last year (I believe it was right around the move), so I have no idea what happened! I enjoyed the premiere and was curious to see where it went, and Sunday is a good time to find out!
Here is a series synopsis: "Seeking the chance to build a better future, a group of courageous pioneers departs Earth for Carpathia, a newly discovered planet in a distant galaxy. Led by President Richard Tate and his core team of Stella, Cass and Fleur, the pioneers settle in the town of Forthaven, creating a society there alongside expeditionaries Mitchell and Jack. Having embraced all the challenges that come with forging a new beginning, the townspeople work hard to preserve what they've built on Carpathia, and even as they long for those left behind, there is optimism about the future. But while they try to learn from mistakes made on Earth, there is no avoiding the human pitfalls of love, greed, lust and loss."

New Show Alert: Monster Man Starts Tonight on Space!
Monster Man debuts on Space tonight at 11pm EST! It's a documentary series following creature prop expert Cleve Hall, and this first episode airs right after the Face Off season 2 finale which is a great pairing and I know I'm going to check it out.
Check out more details from the media release:
"Toronto, ON (March 9, 2012) – Monster-making-movie-magic comes alive when the documentary series MONSTER MAN debuts Wednesday, March 14 at 11 p.m. ET, immediately following the second season finale of FACE OFF at 10 p.m. ET on SPACE and SPACE HD. Starring hearse-driving, creature prop expert Cleve Hall, MONSTER MAN goes behind the scenes of one of Hollywood’s most respected practical effects workshops, SOTA FX, to witness the creation of bizarre beings and out-of-this world aliens. Following the series debut, MONSTER MAN moves to its regular timeslot, Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET, beginning March 21.
Alongside Cleve are daughters Constance and Elora Hall, ex-wife Sonja Maddox-Hall, best friends Roy Knyrim and Johnny Saiko and office manager Cindy Miller. Only the horrifying monsters they build match the craziness of this extremely talented family. For more than 30 years, when studios want a bizarre creature or out-of-this world alien, they turn to Cleve Hall and team. Full episodes of MONSTER MAN madness are available following the television broadcast at spacecast.com.
**Media Note** - Photography for MONSTER MAN available online at www.bellmediapr.ca/space.
Viewers can also check out Cleve’s horror handiwork in action with the SPACE movie premiere of 2-HEADED SHARK ATTACK, coming later this spring.
The premiere episode of MONSTER MAN, “Seeing Double,” introduces the very colourful cast of characters from SOTA FX, as Cleve and the team face a dual challenge. Famed Friday the 13th director Sean Cunningham demands that Cleve and company conjure up a set of conjoined twins that tear apart for his next feature film. If building this complex appliance for an A-lister isn’t enough, creature feature makers at famed The Asylum film studio ask Cleve to build a terrorizing two-headed shark. To find inspiration Clive literally swims in shark-infested waters.
Monster-specialist Cleve Hall has been in the prop design game since he was a teenager. Hall has created masterpieces for countless big budget flicks for Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks, Warner Bros and Disney, including favorites How to Train Your Dragon, Sharktopus, Ed Wood and Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Hall has also lent his talent to numerous television programs including YO GABBA GABBA, for which he received an Emmy® Award-nomination. Additionally, he has worked with rock bands including KISS, creating Gene Simmons' Demon Armor, Insane Clown Posse, Alice Cooper, Tenacious D and DEVO.
Executive Producers are Scott Gurney and Deirdre Gurney for Gurney Productions."

Remember to set your VCRs, PVRs, TIVOs or park yourself on the couch for new episodes of The Secret Circle, Vampire Diaries & Supernatural later this week. They all return with their 16th episodes of their current season, and after almost a month off for each I'm sure we are all very excited to now be just days away from new paranormal TV goodness.

Pick of the Week: Face Off Season 2 Finale!
Image: Season 2 Cast
The make-up reality series is down to it's final three artists. Who will take the glory? Only a few more days until we find out, which is what makes it this weeks Paranormal Pick of the Week:
Face Off Season 2 Finale
Wednesday March 14, 2012 at 10pm EST on Space Channel
They've created dino-hybrids, played in the land of Burton, travelled to Oz, braved bare skin and created make up that can survive underwater. It's been an amazing season and beautifully crafted creations and I've had a blast seeing everyone's creativity at play. Good luck to the final 3 finalist; I can't wait to see what or who they create this week.

Primeval New World Begins Production
Images: Niall Matter as Zane Donovan in Eureka / Sara Canning as Jenna on The Vampire Diaries
We've got some news about the new Canadian show Primeval New World, a spin off of the UK Primeval. The show has started production and I'm very excited to share cast & crew news.
Primeval New World will star:
- Niall Matter as Evan Cross and enterprising inventor and visionary hero. Niall Matter is new to me but he played Zane Donovan on Eureka (pictured above), Greg on the new and Rick on the new Melrose Place
- Sara Canning as Dylan Weir, predator attack expert and specialist in animal behavior. Hexed listeners will certainly know Sara Canning as she played Aunt Jenna from The Vampire Diaries (pictured above) and recently guest starred on Supernatural Season 7 Episode 13.
- Miranda Frigon as Ange Finch
- Geoff Gustafson as Ken Leeds
- Danny Rahim as Mac Rendell
- Andrew-Lee Potts will guest star as Connor from the original series
It's quite serendipitous for this information to come out as Suzie & I chatted about the show on last weeks episode of Hexed and included it in our 2012 Paranormal-Inclined 2012 TV Pilots, even though it's more than a pilot - it's confirmed for 13 episodes, one hour series.
It's still early days but the show does have an IMDb Page, information on it is scarce for the moment but with casting & crew details being revealed I'm sure it will start to build up. I'll keep my eye out for more resources as time goes on. I for one can't wait to see some pictures from the show itself.
Need more info? Check out the official media release:
"Vancouver, BC (March 7, 2012) – SPACE announced today that production is underway on the original mythological/action series PRIMEVAL: NEW WORLD. Pick of the Week: Face Off Season 2 Marathon on Space Sunday March 11, 2012
Images: Welcome to the Jungle with Sam Cobb, Ve Neil & Marcel Banks
As someone who is currently adoring Season 2* of the reality series Face Off, this weeks Paranormal Pick of the Week couldn't be clearer:
Face Off Season 2 Marathon
Sunday March 11, 2012 from 12noon - 9pm on Space Channel
For the uninitiated, Face Off is a competition based reality series following make up artists and it's a fantastic look as seeing the creative mind at work. I almost didn't want to post about this as I haven't seen Season 1 therefore have no idea who wins (and hope I make it to Sunday without finding out!). Although the show is not paranormal itself, the world of make up certainly plays a huge part in many of our shows with creature creation (werewolves and vampires, oh my!) therefore is without a doubt my Paranormal Pick of the Week.
Also check out the season finale of Face Off next Wednesday March 14, 2012 at 10PM.
* Edit: Previously posted as a Season 1 marathon, this is actually a Season 2 marathon

Fact of Faked: Season 1 Marathon on Space: Sunday March 4, 2012
Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files
With Season 2B of Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files recently wrapped airing on Space, I know some of us may be in going into withdrawl for out adventureous team of paranormal investigators & experimenters. To soften the blow, we are in luck as we'll have the chance to re-live all of Season 1 this Sunday March 4, 2012. Space is having a Season 1 marathon running from 9AM EST to 9PM EST and showing all 12 episodes of the first season Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files.
From UFOs to cryptids there is a little bit of everything in Season 1, including some of my favourite episodes! The combination of scientific method, paranormal discussions, photography, stunt work, travel and a spectacular cast make it one of these most fun shows out there. Suzie & I have been fans from the very first time it aired up here in Canada and have chatted about each and every episode here on Hexed: Sisterhood of the Supernatural. Get your costuming skills at work and check out their Prêt-à-Port-Fae Contest by dressing up as your fae-vourite Lost Girl character (I think Suzie should enter - she was a great Kenzi at HalCon!). See contest page for all the details plus the contest rules. Contest entries for Prêt-à-Port-Fae Contest are open until March 5, 2012.
The contest for Lost Girl seem to pop up pretty frequently. I would definitely recommend keeping your eyes on the Lost Girl site including contests tab and the Showcase Blog for all the awesome details.
Remember to listen to Suzie & I chat Lost Girl here on Hexed: Sisterhood of the Supernatural. We recently chatted about Season 2 Episode 17: The Girl Who Fae'd With Fire on Episode 93 of Hexed, plus see all podcasts & posts discussing Lost Girl here.
