Paranormal Pick of the Week: Killer Contact Series Debut on Space

It's a quieter month for new shows, but the ones we have both start this week, including Killer Contact which we've been talking about for ages (from back when it used to be called Notorious Hauntings), and now we finally have it's debut! With it being a long time coming, I had to make it this weeks Paranormal Pick of the Week:

Killer Contact ~ Series Premiere
Wednesday December 4, 2013 * at 10PM ET on Space

This is a new series, following paranormal investigators Austin Cook, Hector Barragan, Adam Leidenfrost, Molly O'Connolly, and Greg Niecestro. Let's take a look at the Series description: "In Killer Contact, viewers will follow a team of paranormal investigators as they research the otherworldly activity at historical sites and explore the gruesome back story of the infamous and heinous individuals who operated out of each location. The team will stop at nothing as they dig deep into the crimes and victims to determine if they are the cause of the present-day haunting.

Investigations this season focus on historical figures including Jack the Ripper (London), Dracula-inspiration Vlad the Impaler (Romania) and the bloodthirsty Borgias (Italy)"

SCHEDULING NOTE: This shows schedule looks a like it goes from once a week this week, to twice a week next week. So I strongly encourage you to check your local listings carefully regarding dates and times.

Also Awesome:
  • The Unexplained Files ~ Series Premiere this Monday December 2, 2013 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on Discovery Science. This six-part non-fiction series "investigates inexplicable occurrences that have confounded scientists and inspired legends." Sounds pretty cool to me!

December 2013 Paranormal TV New and Returning Air Dates

I really thought we weren't going to have any new shows this month being December and all, but some snuck up on us! We have 2 new series coming to us this month, both are non-fiction paranormal shows: The Unexplained Files on Discovery Science and Killer Contact on Space. And they both start this week. Gotta get our scare (and science!) on before the holiday specials overtake our viewing choices.

Let's take a closer look at both of the shows.

The Unexplained Files ~ Series Premiere

Monday December 2, 2013 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on Discovery Science

Genre: Non-Fiction Paranormal

I originally thought this show was on Discovery, but it's actually on Discovery Science. So many channels out there! I'm really hoping this one is also available to watch online at the Discovery.ca website. Here's hoping!

Series description: "THE UNEXPLAINED FILES investigates inexplicable occurrences that have confounded scientists and inspired legends. Premiering Monday, December 2 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Discovery Science, the six-part series features mind-boggling cases ranging from mysterious disappearances and UFO encounters, to unidentified fanged predators – and reported curses!

THE UNEXPLAINED FILES features renowned scientists, credible experts, and first-hand eyewitnesses as they present riveting never-before-seen footage and share their vivid personal accounts of truly bewildering experiences. Each episode takes viewers on a thrilling expedition – presenting some of the most shocking and interesting stories ever told. "

The Unexplained Files is a 6-part series.

Killer Contact ~ Series Premiere

Wednesday December 4, 2013 * at 10PM ET on Space

Genre: Non-Fiction Paranormal

We've been tracking this show for quite a while now, including chatting about it almost one year ago to this day when it used to be called Notorious Hauntings. I'm excited to see that it's now making it's debut both here in Canada on Space as well as on it's home station of SyFy.

Series description: "In Killer Contact, viewers will follow a team of paranormal investigators as they research the otherworldly activity at historical sites and explore the gruesome back story of the infamous and heinous individuals who operated out of each location.

Killer Contact is an American show features paranormal investigators Austin Cook, Hector Barragan, Adam Leidenfrost, Molly O'Connolly, and Greg Niecestro. Season 1 of Killer Contact is scheduled for 6 episodes.

* SCHEDULING NOTE: I encourage you to check your local listings carefully regarding dates and times for this one. It looks like Killer Contact may following a non-traditional schedule. It looks like it debuts once a week on Wednesdays, and then airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays nights.

See more about Killer Contact at the shows website and on Facebook.

Ep 148: Paranormal TV Nov 19 - 25, 2013

On this weeks episode of Hexed, we chat about the explosive Season 2 finale of Ghost Mine, and chat up with recent episodes of Paranormal Witness, Lost Girl, Haven, Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries.

We might be a little grumpy over some things as we acknowledge the boringness of being the season of amnesia as well as the 4th year blahs in several shows, but we do still have lively discussions on some of the newer shows as we catch up on Ravenswood, Reign and Almost Human.

We'll be back next week with Season 2 premiere of Haunted Highway, the return of Grimm and Dracula plus lots to catch up on more of our regs of Supernatural and Sleepy Hollow.
