Hello Sisters,

Soni here (from FB ). Hellos from Montreal :)

Listened. Loved the podcast.

Regarding 'True Blood'. From others I've spoken with, many were also disappointed with this season's non-ending.

And even though AB isn't following the books hard and fast - and I'm not holding that against him as TB is an entity onto itself - he has gone waaay out there in some of the other aspects.

I am only hoping that at least in S4 he goes a little closer to the book 4, esp. as regards the Sookie & Eric story.

Regarding 'The Gates'. I really tried to get into that show and I watched nearly half of the season, but when I found myself actually 'forgetting' when it was on or doing other things while it was on, I knew it just didn't have that certain "umph" or "je ne sais quoi" to keep my attention.

Regarding 'Lost Girl' is was only seen in Canada, so far. Read (a rumour) somewhere that maybe the CW may pick it up. But that's not confirmed as yet.
'Haven' is an American/Canadian production, where as 'Lost Girl' is only Canadian, hence why 'Haven' is also airing in the US on SyFy.

And I have to concur with what was said about 'Blood Ties' it was indeed a good Canadian show and was huge hit with many Americans.

Several of those whom I'm friended with on FB right now are actually some of the die hard American 'Blood Ties' fans (and who are now following Canadian actor Kyle Schmid who played vampire Henry Fitzroy, as he has an official profile page on FaceBook)

The issue with 'Blood Ties' wasn't so much a case of when it debuted, but with the US network which had refused to renew the series (even though 'Blood Ties' is Canadian, it had aired in the US before airing in Canada). Many of those same Blood Ties, American fans on FB had done campaigns and raised $$ towards advertising to encourage the network to keep it. But it was to no avail.

Needless to say, many (if not all) of them don't watch the network anymore because of this.... But as Peter Mohan (who created 'Blood Ties') is also involved with 'Lost Girl', there is a very strong possibility (based on the reaction I've gotten) that they'll tune in, if ever 'Lost Girl' were to air in the USA...

Hey Soni! Thanks for the comment! Good to know we weren't the only ones left disappointed at the last episode of TB. I think a lot of people felt the same was as you did about TG, great when there is nothing else on but now that new shows are around... I actually really enjoyed it but wish they had focused more on the women and less on the men, think that would have made the show much more engaging.

So Lost Girl is only Canadian right now... good to know. We weren't sure about that. I have no idea why Haven is in the U.S. and LG isn't. Ah yes, Blood Ties, loved that show! I didn't know it was on in the U.S. before Canada! Oh if only they could revive it. I think Lost Girl could be huge in the U.S. Wow, all that info was so fascinating Soni, thank you!
