Suzie and Shannon are back for our first podcast of 2013 and who knew there would be so much to enjoy in just the first two weeks of the year? We have the Season 3 premiere of Lost Girl (and Lost Girl ConFaeDential), season 2 Premiere of The Almighty Johnsons (thank you SPACE!), Season 3 premiere of Being Human (North American) to enjoy. Plus with the fifth and final season of Merlin beginning we check in on that, Suzie's caught up with Primeval: New World so we have some dinosaur talk, we lament over the awesomeness of Borealis which we only get in a TV movie format and check out the non-fiction show of The Haunting Of...; plus news galore including the recently announced Canadian Screen Awards.
We'll be back next week to chat return of many of our regs like Supernatural and Vampire Diaries plus the Season 3 finale of Haven.
Ghost Mine will be on Space starting Wed Jan 16, 2012 at 10pm, plus entire Jan Space Schedule including dates for Ripper Street, The Following many return/debut dates and a new one.
Borealis 2 hour TV Movie will air on Space Fri Jan 11 at 9pm although the series wasn't picked up.
Anna Silk (Bo on Lost Girl) Pregnancy News, whom they are publicly calling Ninja! Found out just before started shooting last episode of the season. And she's 38. Wow. I wouldn't have guessed that.
Space looks like it's picked up both Stranded (follows paranormal enthusiasts stranded in haunted houses/locations) and Do No Harm (A brilliant neurosurgeon who has to battle his own alter-ego so that he can live a normal life. ) for Feb 2013
Even though we are firmly in 2013 it's still a quieter week for our regular shows, which allows room for new shows to sweep us off our feet and I think we have a new contender stepping up to the plate. Cast your eyes on this weeks Paranormal Pick of the Week:
The Haunting Of...
New Episode Featuring: Fairuza Balk
Monday January 7, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT on A&E Canada
The Haunting Of.. is a non-fiction show where famous people share their experiences with the paranormal. In Canada it's airing on A&E and this weeks episode with Fairuza Balk is new, but if you are new to the show you can watch it all night to see episodes featuring Chazz Palmenteri, Eric Mabius and Regis Philbin. The Canadian schedule is definitely different from the US one (especially as it airs on Biography as well as A&E in the States), so I highly recommend checking your local listings to keep up to date with new episodes.
More about The Haunting Of... : "From executive producers Seth Jarrett and Julie Insogna Jarrett (Celebrity Ghost Stories, I Killed My BFF), The Haunting Of... is an original series featuring world-renowned psychic-medium Kim Russo as she gives an exclusive look at celebrities who have had their lives changed by paranormal events. Each one-hour episode of The Haunting Of... will feature celebrities’ real life encounters with the paranormal as they return to the site of their traumatic experience. During these gripping journeys, Kim Russo unlocks the secrets that haunted each celebrity and explains the unexplained. Kim also unveils shocking psychic moments and surprising personal revelations as she tunes into the celebrities’ personal lives and connects with their loved ones who have crossed over."
Also Awesome:
Fringe returns on Friday January 11, 2013 with a new episode, and we are getting to the final moments of the show with this being the third-last of the series.
Supernatural in Syndication on Space comes full circle this week with the airing of the Season 4 finale on Thursday January 10, 2013 after which they go right back to the beginning on Friday January 11, 2013. I'm a little surprized they are only going through 4 of the 7 seasons, but if you are new to the show this is of course a great way to (partially) catch up.
Suzie & Shannon are your intrepid hosts through supernatural tv, all the time. We podcast through Grimm, Vampire Diaries, Haven, Supernatural, Lost Girl, Alphas, Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files & so many more. We always look forward to new paranormal TV!
